Dr. Glenn Gandelman is a board-certified cardiologist with subspecialty certification in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, and additional certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease.
He earned his MD from New York Medical College and an MPH from Cornell University, completed residency at North Shore-LIJ (Long Island Jewish), and fellowship at Westchester Medical Center. He holds academic appointments as Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College and as Clinical Instructor at Yale New Haven Hospital and Cornell University Hospital.

No. Dr. Gandelman is the cardiologist who reads every study BlackPoint performs, so if we have scanned you he has already reviewed your images and written your report — he walks into the consultation with your results in front of him. You can also see him without a BlackPoint screening, and if you have recent cardiovascular imaging from another provider you are welcome to bring it.
It can be. Dr. Gandelman is licensed to practice in Maine and, once the initial visit establishes you as a patient of Greenwich Cardiology, he can serve as your cardiologist in full — managing ongoing cardiac conditions, prescribing, and ordering further testing, the same as a cardiologist you would see through insurance. The difference is administrative, not clinical: his office bills you directly rather than a health plan. If you would rather keep your current cardiologist, he is equally happy to work alongside them.

Billing for the consultation is handled entirely by Greenwich Cardiology, not by BlackPoint Diagnostics. Ask their office about insurance, self-pay rates, and whether HSA or FSA funds can be applied when you call to schedule.
