The High-Risk Population
Right in Your Building

Skilled nursing facility residents carry extraordinarily high cardiovascular burden — heart failure, atrial fibrillation, peripheral vascular disease, and prior stroke are the norm rather than the exception. Yet accessing diagnostic imaging traditionally means disruptive, costly, and often medically risky transport to a hospital or imaging center.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many residents can be seen in a single facility visit?
This depends on the studies ordered and resident availability. In a typical half-day session, we can complete 4–8 studies. Full-day sessions are available for facilities with larger volumes. We work with your scheduler to maximize efficiency.
What does the facility need to provide?
A private room or treatment area with one electrical outlet, and a staff escort to bring residents to and from the scanning room. We bring all equipment, supplies, and documentation materials.
Who receives the reports?
Reports are sent to the ordering physician or NP, and to the facility medical director if directed. Each report is a separate document per resident and is delivered via our HIPAA-compliant email service. We do not share results with insurers or facilities without explicit authorization.
Can BlackPoint support our 5-Star quality program?
Yes. Having documented cardiovascular diagnostic studies in resident records — with board-certified cardiologist interpretation — supports comprehensive care documentation. Contact us to discuss how our services align with your quality metrics.
What is the cost to our facility vs. transferring residents?
Individual scans are $397 per study, all-inclusive. The cost of a single non-emergency ambulance transfer — plus facility staff time and the clinical disruption — typically far exceeds this. Contact us for agency-volume pricing.
