By accessing or using the BlackPoint Diagnostics website at blackpointdiagnostics.com, booking any service, or purchasing any subscription or package, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
BlackPoint Diagnostics provides mobile cardiovascular ultrasound screening services in Southern Maine, including but not limited to echocardiograms, carotid duplex ultrasounds, abdominal aortic aneurysm screenings, venous duplex studies, arterial duplex studies, renal artery Doppler exams, and cardiologist consultations through our partner provider.
Important: BlackPoint Diagnostics provides diagnostic imaging services only. Our services are not medical treatment, diagnosis, or therapy. All imaging studies are interpreted by a board-certified cardiologist and delivered as a written report. This report is intended to be shared with and reviewed by your personal physician in the context of your complete medical history.
Nothing in our services, website content, reports, email communications, or patient guides constitutes medical advice. Always consult a qualified physician regarding any health concern or before making any healthcare decision.
Services are available to individuals aged 18 and over in the Southern Maine service area. BlackPoint Diagnostics reserves the right to decline service at its sole discretion.
No physician referral is required to book a screening. However, we recommend that all patients share their imaging results with their primary care physician or specialist.
Appointments are scheduled through our online booking system powered by Acuity Scheduling. By completing a booking, you agree to provide accurate personal and health history information.
Individual Scans: All individual scans are priced at $397 per scan, all-inclusive. This price includes the scan itself, the sonographer's time, and a written cardiologist-reviewed report delivered within 24–48 hours. Pricing is subject to change; the price in effect at the time of booking applies.
Wellness Screening Packages: Package pricing is as listed on our Pricing & Packages page at the time of booking. All packages include a unified cardiologist report.
Corporate Wellness: Group pricing for organizations is provided by separate written agreement.
Payment is due at the time of booking. We accept all major credit cards through our secure payment processor, Stripe. We do not accept insurance. Receipts may be provided for Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) reimbursement purposes.
Cancellations with 24 or more hours notice: Full refund issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice: A cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service price will be charged. The remaining balance will be refunded to the original payment method.
No-shows: Appointments not cancelled and not attended will be charged in full. No refund will be issued.
Definition of Cancellation vs. Reschedule: A cancellation is the termination of an appointment without rescheduling. A reschedule is the movement of an appointment to a new date and time. Patients wishing to reschedule rather than cancel are encouraged to contact BlackPoint Diagnostics at least 24 hours in advance. Rescheduling requests made in good faith will be accommodated based on availability and do not incur a fee.

BlackPoint Diagnostics offers the following monthly membership plans under the BlackPoint Concierge program:
Activation Fee: All plans require a one-time $249 nonrefundable activation fee charged at signup alongside the first month's billing. The activation fee locks in the subscriber's monthly rate permanently. Monthly billing begins immediately at signup and continues until cancellation. There is no minimum commitment period.
Rate Lock: The monthly rate in effect at the time of signup is guaranteed permanently for the duration of active membership. BlackPoint Diagnostics reserves the right to adjust activation fees and monthly rates for new signups only. Rate adjustments will not apply to any subscriber who enrolled prior to the effective date of the adjustment.
Eligible Scans: Memberships cover any single individual scan — Echocardiogram, Carotid Duplex, AAA Screening, Lower Extremity Venous, Lower Extremity Arterial, or Renal Arterial Ultrasound. Wellness Screening Packages, Cardiologist Consultation Bundles, and Corporate Wellness services are not included in the monthly scan credit.
Unused Scan Rollover: Tier 1 (Concierge) and Tier 2 (Concierge Premier) members may roll over one unused scan credit to the following billing month. Tier 3 (Concierge Premier Duo) members may roll over up to two unused scan credits. Rollover credits do not apply automatically — members must contact BlackPoint Diagnostics directly to schedule a rollover appointment. Credits do not accumulate beyond their respective tier maximums and have no cash value.
Billing: Enrollment fees and monthly subscription charges are processed through Stripe via Acuity Scheduling. Monthly billing is automatic and continues until cancellation. Receipts are issued by email.
Premier Duo Scheduling Requirement: Both enrolled members of the BlackPoint Concierge Premier Duo plan must schedule their monthly scans on the same appointment date. Both scans are performed consecutively during a single home visit of approximately 90 minutes. Appointments for the two members of a Premier Duo plan cannot be split across separate dates, days, or appointment slots. Failure to schedule jointly may result in forfeiture of one scan credit for that billing cycle.
Cancellation: Subscribers may cancel at any time by contacting BlackPoint Diagnostics at info@blackpointdiagnostics.com or (207) 409-7797. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial month refunds are issued. The enrollment fee is non-refundable.
Cancellation Policy for Membership Appointments: The standard 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all appointments booked under a membership plan. Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice results in forfeiture of that month's scan credit. No additional charge beyond the monthly membership fee applies.
Active members may request an upgrade to a higher tier at any time by contacting BlackPoint Diagnostics directly. The $249 activation fee is not charged again on upgrade. Monthly billing adjusts to the new tier's rate from the next billing cycle.
Downgrades to a lower tier may be accommodated at BlackPoint Diagnostics' discretion with reasonable notice.
Upgrade requests are processed manually. BlackPoint Diagnostics reserves the right to decline upgrade requests in cases of suspected abuse of the prorated credit system.
Active BlackPoint Concierge Premier and BlackPoint Concierge Premier Duo members receive a 40% discount on all Wellness Screening Packages. This discount applies to the five packages listed on our pricing page — Stroke Prevention, Heart Failure, Diabetic Complication, Comprehensive Vascular, and Comprehensive Cardiovascular.
The package discount is available to eligible members anytime during their active membership, with no restrictions on timing or frequency. Packages purchased under the membership discount are separate from and in addition to the monthly scan credit — purchasing a package does not consume or replace the monthly scan credit.
The package discount does not apply to Cardiologist Consultation Bundles, Corporate Wellness services, or individual scans. The package discount cannot be combined with the referral discount or any other promotional offer. Discounts are non-transferable.
Patients referred by an active BlackPoint Concierge member are eligible for a 20% discount on their first individual scan. To claim the discount, the referred patient must provide the referring member's full name at the time of booking through the designated field in the Acuity Scheduling checkout process.
BlackPoint Diagnostics will verify the referral connection at the time of the appointment. Upon confirmation, 20% of the individual scan fee will be refunded to the referred patient's original payment method within 5–10 business days.
The referral discount applies to individual scans only ($397 retail — discounted to $317.60). It does not apply to Wellness Screening Packages, Cardiologist Consultation Bundles, or Corporate Wellness bookings. The referral discount cannot be combined with the membership package discount or any other promotional offer. The referring subscriber receives no compensation, credit, or discount in connection with the referral program. The referral discount is available to new patients only and is limited to one use per referred individual.
BlackPoint Diagnostics reserves the right to adjust activation fees and monthly rates for new BlackPoint Concierge enrollments at any time. Such adjustments will be reflected on the subscriptions page and pricing page of this website upon taking effect.
Price adjustments for new enrollments will not affect the monthly rate of any subscriber who enrolled prior to the effective date of the adjustment. Active subscribers' rates are locked at their enrollment rate for the duration of their active membership, as described in the Subscription Terms above.
If BlackPoint Diagnostics determines it necessary to adjust rates for existing subscribers, a minimum of 90 days written notice will be provided to affected subscribers via the email address on file.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
