What does the enrollment fee cover?+
A one-time $249 activation fee is charged at signup alongside your first month's payment. The activation fee locks in your monthly rate permanently — it will never increase as long as you remain active. Monthly billing continues from month 2 onward at your locked rate.
Which scans are included in the membership?+
All six individual scans are available every month — Echocardiogram, Carotid Duplex, AAA Screening, Lower Extremity Venous, Lower Extremity Arterial, and Renal Arterial Ultrasound. You can choose a different scan every month. Wellness packages and cardiologist consultation bundles are not included in the monthly scan credit but are available separately — at 40% off for Tier 2 and Tier 3 members.
Can I choose a different scan each month?+
Yes — entirely your choice every month. You might track your heart with an echocardiogram one month and check your carotid arteries the next. Your scan selection is completely flexible.
What happens if I don't use my scan one month?+
Unused scan credits roll over with a one-month maximum for Tier 1 and Tier 2 members, and a two-scan maximum for Premier Duo members. To use a rollover credit, contact us directly to schedule — rollovers do not auto-apply. Credits have no cash value.
How does the rate lock actually work?+
The monthly rate you enroll at today is your rate permanently, for as long as you remain an active member. BlackPoint reserves the right to adjust rates for new members — but that adjustment will never apply to you. The longer you stay, the more valuable your locked rate becomes relative to what new members pay.
How do I cancel after my enrollment period?+
You are month to month from the start. To cancel, contact us at
info@blackpointdiagnostics.com or (207) 409-7797. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. The $249 activation fee is nonrefundable. No partial month refunds are issued.
What is priority scheduling for Tier 2 and Tier 3?+
BlackPoint screenings are performed during evening and weekend hours. Availability is limited each week. Priority scheduling means Premier and Premier Duo members are offered available slots before standard booking opens. You will always have first access to the schedule.
What is the annual summary report?+
After 12 months of active membership, Tier 2 and Tier 3 members receive a written annual cardiovascular summary. This document reviews all scans performed over the year, notes any changes or trends, and provides a longitudinal overview to share with your physician. It is prepared by Dr. Gandelman and delivered to you directly.
How does the Premier Duo plan work for two people?+
Premier Duo covers two people at the same address under one membership. Both members receive one scan per month — fully independent, any modality each. Both scans are performed consecutively during a single 90-minute home visit on the same appointment date each month. Appointments cannot be split across separate dates or days. Both members receive individual cardiologist reports, priority scheduling, and the annual cardiovascular summary. Both members can use the 40% package discount independently.
Can I upgrade from Tier 1 to Tier 2?+
Yes. Contact us to request an upgrade. Your monthly rate adjusts to the new tier from the next billing cycle. The $249 activation fee is not charged again on upgrade. See our
Terms & Conditions for full details.
Does the 24-hour cancellation policy apply to members?+
Yes. The standard cancellation policy applies to all appointments, including those booked under a membership. Cancelling with less than 24 hours notice will result in the forfeiture of that month's scan credit. No additional charge beyond your monthly membership fee applies. See our
Terms & Conditions for full details.
