By accessing or using the BlackPoint Diagnostics website at blackpointdiagnostics.com, booking any service, or purchasing any subscription or package, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

BlackPoint Diagnostics provides cardiovascular ultrasound services at our Falmouth, Maine imaging center and, where offered, on-site elsewhere in Maine, including but not limited to echocardiograms, carotid duplex ultrasounds, abdominal aortic aneurysm studies, venous duplex studies, arterial duplex studies, renal artery Doppler exams, and cardiologist consultations through our partner provider.

Important: BlackPoint Diagnostics provides diagnostic imaging services only. Our services are not medical treatment, diagnosis, or therapy. All imaging studies are interpreted by a board-certified cardiologist and delivered as a written report. This report is intended to be shared with and reviewed by your personal physician in the context of your complete medical history.

Nothing in our services, website content, reports, email communications, or patient guides constitutes medical advice. Always consult a qualified physician regarding any health concern or before making any healthcare decision.

Not an emergency service. BlackPoint Diagnostics is not an emergency or urgent-care service. If you have chest pain or pressure, trouble breathing, fainting, sudden weakness or numbness, trouble speaking, sudden loss of vision, a sudden severe headache, or any other emergency symptom, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not wait for a scheduled appointment.

Screening limits. An ultrasound screening looks for specific findings in the areas studied. It can miss conditions, and a normal result does not rule out disease. Your report should be reviewed with your own doctor, who can decide whether further testing or care is needed.

Services are available to individuals aged 18 and over. Studies are performed in Maine. BlackPoint Diagnostics reserves the right to decline service at its sole discretion.

No physician referral is required to book a study. Patients are encouraged to share their imaging results with their primary care physician or specialist.

Appointments are scheduled through our online booking system powered by Acuity Scheduling. By completing a booking, you agree to provide accurate personal and health history information.

Individual Scans: All individual scans are priced at $397 per scan in Falmouth, all-inclusive. This price includes the scan itself, the sonographer's time, and a written cardiologist-reviewed report delivered within 24–48 hours. Pricing is subject to change; the price in effect at the time of booking applies.

Diagnostic Cardiovascular Imaging Packages: Package pricing is as listed on our Pricing & Packages page at the time of booking. All packages include a unified cardiologist report.

Corporate Wellness: Group pricing for organizations is provided by separate written agreement.

Payment is due at the time of booking. We accept all major credit cards through our secure payment processor, Stripe. We do not accept insurance. Receipts may be provided for Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) reimbursement purposes.

Cancellations with 24 or more hours notice: Full refund issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice: A cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service price will be charged. The remaining balance will be refunded to the original payment method.

No-shows: Appointments not cancelled and not attended will be charged in full. No refund will be issued.

Definition of Cancellation vs. Reschedule: A cancellation is the termination of an appointment without rescheduling. A reschedule is the movement of an appointment to a new date and time. Patients wishing to reschedule rather than cancel are encouraged to contact BlackPoint Diagnostics at least 24 hours in advance. Rescheduling requests made in good faith will be accommodated based on availability and do not incur a fee.

The plan. BlackPoint Membership costs $29.00 per month per person, or $290.00 per year per person paid in full at enrollment. There is no enrollment or activation fee. The monthly plan has no minimum term; the annual plan is a twelve-month term paid in advance. Membership is personal to the individual named at enrollment and cannot be shared, assigned or transferred.

What it provides. A $100 reduction on the standard price of each eligible diagnostic study, whether performed at our Falmouth imaging center or on-site at your home or workplace.

There is no limit on the number of studies and no per-cycle cap, on either plan.

Eligible studies. Echocardiogram, carotid duplex, abdominal aortic, lower extremity venous, lower extremity arterial and kidney arterial studies, at our Falmouth imaging center or on-site; and the Stroke Prevention, Heart Failure, Diabetic Complication, Comprehensive Vascular and Comprehensive Cardiovascular bundles.

Not eligible. Promotional offers already discounted below standard price, including the grand-opening package; cardiologist consultations, which are scheduled and billed by Greenwich Cardiology rather than BlackPoint Diagnostics; and the electrocardiogram, ankle brachial index and cholesterol, blood pressure and glucose checks. The membership benefit cannot be combined with any other discount, coupon or promotional code on the same booking, except for the anniversary credit described below, which may be combined with it.

Anniversary credit. After twelve consecutive months of active membership you receive a $150 credit toward any eligible study, at our Falmouth imaging center or on-site. On each following anniversary the credit increases by $25 — $175 at year two, $200 at year three, and so on.

The credit is issued to the member directly. It does not expire while your membership remains active, may be saved and combined with credits from later anniversaries, and may be combined with the $100 membership discount on the same booking.

The credit is redeemable only against eligible studies. It cannot be applied to membership fees, exchanged for cash, or transferred. Membership must be active and continuously paid on the anniversary date for the credit to be issued. Credits issued but not yet redeemed are forfeited when membership ends.

Payment plans. Instalment plans for the multi-study packages are available to active members at a price $100 below the standard plan price. The member price is built into the plan at checkout. The $100 membership benefit is not applied separately to an instalment purchase, and a study booked using an instalment plan is not discounted again at the time of booking.

Billing and renewal. On the monthly plan, the first $29.00 is charged when you enroll and the membership renews automatically each month on that date until cancelled. On the annual plan, $290.00 is charged in full when you enroll and the membership renews automatically each year on that date until cancelled. We will email you before each annual renewal. Payment is processed by our scheduling provider. If a payment fails, the membership benefit is suspended until payment is completed.

Cancellation. You may cancel at any time, online and without contacting us. Every subscription payment email contains a link to your subscription page, where you can view past payments, update your card, and cancel. You may also ask us to cancel for you if you prefer. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period already paid for, and the membership benefit remains available until then.

Fees already paid are not refunded. On the monthly plan that means the month in progress. On the annual plan it means the full $290.00 annual fee, which is not refunded and not prorated for any unused portion of the term. Your benefits stay available until the end of the term you have paid for.

If you cancel before completing twelve consecutive months, no anniversary credit is issued. Credits issued but not yet redeemed are forfeited when membership ends.

Rejoining. If you cancel and later rejoin, you enroll at the rate then in effect. The rate you previously held does not carry over.

What membership is not. Membership is not insurance, is not a health plan, and does not bill or coordinate with any insurer. It is a discount applied to prices you would otherwise pay BlackPoint Diagnostics directly. It does not create a physician-patient relationship, guarantee appointment availability, or entitle you to any study that is not clinically appropriate.

BlackPoint Diagnostics reserves the right to adjust monthly rates for new BlackPoint Membership enrollments at any time. Such adjustments will be reflected on the subscriptions page and pricing page of this website upon taking effect.

Price adjustments for new enrollments will not affect the monthly rate of any subscriber who enrolled prior to the effective date of the adjustment. Active subscribers' rates are locked at their enrollment rate for the duration of their active membership, as described in the Subscription Terms above.

If BlackPoint Diagnostics determines it necessary to adjust rates for existing subscribers, a minimum of 90 days written notice will be provided to affected subscribers via the email address on file.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
